College is a wonderful time for students to discover their true passions and plan for their next steps in life. Students experience excitement, nervousness, growth, stress, and fun all at the same time. Amongst all the college chaos, it can get a bit overwhelming.

Here at the OCAPICA Scholars Program, it is our goal to assist first and second year college students through their transition process into college. We provide scholarship funds to every student of our program. Additionally, we host regular workshops and give students the tools they need to succeed. By adapting a cohort model, we create a safe space of fellow OCAPICA Scholars who are also driven for success.

We hope that our students will feel more at ease as they face challenges and create memories throughout their college journey. Our website offers personal college reflections from our OCAPICA Scholars, testimonials from our OCAPICA Scholar Alumnus, helpful tools for success, and much  more.

Please join us in the OCAPICA Scholars experience!

June 2017 |Farewell OCAPICA Scholars, Until We Meet Again

As the OCAPICA Scholars Program comes to an end we would like to congratulate all of our Scholars on their accomplishments! When the program was started in 2010 we never imagined how much it would grow in 7 years.

We’re so grateful that we’ve had the opportunity to watch our Scholars grow as critical thinkers, empowered individuals and change agents. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey. As you continue on your journey remember you are important and that you matter. We are so excited to see all of the amazing things that you’ll do in the future!

Some numbers from our journey together:

28, the number of institutions that currently have an OCAPICA Scholar(s) on its campus.

160+, the number of Scholars who are a part of the OCAPICA family

We know that life can be challenging at times but we know that you have the grit to get back up when you’ve been knocked down.

Remember, “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” – Mahatma Gandhi.

Once an OCAPICA Scholar always an OCAPICA Scholar.

Best wishes!
